Description

A refreshing and indulgent Apple Cider Float combining creamy vanilla bean ice cream with crisp apple cider, garnished with warm spices and fresh apple slices. Perfect for a quick, cozy treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Float

  • 1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (8 ounces)
  • 1 cup Cold Apple Cider (or sparkling apple cider)

Garnishes

  • Cinnamon Sugar (optional garnish)
  • Red Apple Slices
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Select a tall glass and spoon vanilla bean ice cream into it until it is about two-thirds full. This creates the creamy base for the float.
  2. Add the Apple Cider: Slowly pour cold apple cider over the ice cream. If using sparkling apple cider, pour gently to control the bubbles and prevent overflow.
  3. Garnish: Decorate the float with a fan of red apple slices, place a cinnamon stick and a whole star anise on top or alongside, and sprinkle cinnamon sugar down the side of the glass and over the top for an aromatic finish.
  4. Serve: Serve immediately to enjoy the combination of creamy ice cream and crisp apple cider in their freshest state.

Notes

  • Use sparkling apple cider for a fizzy twist, but pour slowly to manage bubbles.
  • Cinnamon sugar adds sweetness and a hint of spice but is optional.
  • Adjust apple slices and garnishes to suit your presentation preferences.
  • This recipe is best served immediately to enjoy the contrast of cold ice cream and refreshing cider.
