Ingredients
Scale
Fudge Base
- 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- ¼ cup hot water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Caramel Layer
- ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Optional
- A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to easily lift out the fudge later.
- Dissolve Coffee: In a small bowl, dissolve the instant coffee granules in hot water, stirring well until fully dissolved. Set aside.
- Melt Chocolate Mixture: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the chocolate melts completely and the mixture becomes smooth.
- Add Coffee and Vanilla: Stir the dissolved coffee mixture and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture until thoroughly combined.
- Layer Fudge and Caramel: Pour half of the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it. Then pour the remaining fudge mixture on top and spread evenly. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce and use a knife or toothpick to swirl the caramel through the fudge.
- Add Sea Salt: Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt evenly over the top for a balanced sweet and salty flavor.
- Refrigerate to Set: Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 to 3 hours or until the fudge is firm and set.
- Cut and Serve: Using the parchment paper overhang, lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into 16 squares or desired pieces.
- Enjoy Your Fudge: Savor each smooth, creamy piece of Caramel Coffee Fudge with its perfect blend of caramel sweetness and coffee richness.
Notes
- The fudge must be refrigerated to set properly; do not skip chilling time.
- Use high-quality white chocolate chips for the best flavor and texture.
- Homemade caramel sauce adds a richer flavor, but store-bought caramel works well too.
- Adjust the amount of caramel sauce if you prefer a stronger or milder caramel flavor.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute with dairy-free condensed milk and chocolate chips, but the texture may vary.
