Ingredients
Scale
Big Mac Sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons finely minced white onion (or dried minced onion)
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Burger and Bowl
- 1/2 cup diced white onion
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Chopped romaine lettuce
- Freshly grated cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- Sliced cherry tomatoes
- Sliced dill pickles
- Cooked potato wedges or French fries
- Sliced red onion (optional)
Instructions
- Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, finely minced onion, yellow mustard, paprika, and garlic powder until smooth and well combined. Cover and refrigerate to let the flavors meld while you prepare the burger.
- Cook the Burger: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced white onion and the ground beef. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease from the pan.
- Season the Burger: Reduce the heat to low. Add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder to the cooked beef and onions. Stir well and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes so the flavors develop fully.
- Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked beef mixture evenly among four medium-sized bowls. Top each bowl with chopped romaine lettuce, freshly grated cheddar cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced dill pickles, and optional sliced red onion. Add a serving of cooked potato wedges or French fries on the side or on top.
- Add the Sauce and Serve: Drizzle the prepared Big Mac sauce generously over each bowl just before serving. Enjoy this hearty, bun-less cheeseburger bowl as a flavorful and satisfying meal.
Notes
- You can substitute the cheddar cheese with any cheese you prefer, such as American or Swiss.
- Use lean ground beef (90% lean or higher) to reduce excess grease.
- If you don’t have fresh onions, dried minced onion can be used in the sauce.
- For a lower calorie version, use light mayonnaise or Greek yogurt in the sauce.
- Leftover sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
