Ingredients
Scale
Dough and Cheese
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or your favorite melty cheese)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Garnish
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Extra Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix well to blend the flavors.
- Assemble the Rollups: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella and a light sprinkle of Parmesan cheese onto each triangle.
- Roll Dough: Starting at the wide end, roll up each triangle tightly enclosing the cheese, and place the rollups on the prepared baking sheet with the seam side down to keep them closed during baking.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Generously brush the tops of each rollup with the prepared garlic butter mixture to infuse flavor and promote browning.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and immediately brush again with any remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm for the best gooey cheesy experience.
Notes
- You can use your preferred melty cheese such as cheddar or provolone instead of mozzarella if desired.
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
- Make sure to seal the seams well to prevent cheese from leaking during baking.
- These rollups are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven but can be reheated in a warm oven for a few minutes.
