Description

These Crescent Chicken Roll Ups are a delicious and easy-to-make recipe featuring juicy grilled beef patties topped with creamy pub cheese spread, tangy beer-carameled onions, and crispy bacon, all nestled inside toasted buns. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a casual weekend meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon burger seasoning blend

Toppings

  • 4-6 tablespoons pub cheese spread
  • Beer caramelized onions (see Notes for preparation)
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy

Buns

  • 4 burger buns (brioche, kaiser rolls, or pretzel rolls recommended; toasted)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Patties: Place the ground beef in a bowl and add the burger seasoning blend. Mix thoroughly with your hands until well combined, then shape the mixture into 4 even-sized patties.
  2. Grill the Patties: Preheat your grill, grill pan, or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for 7-10 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until they reach your preferred degree of doneness.
  3. Assemble the Burgers: Remove the cooked patties from the grill and place each one on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Layer a generous tablespoon of pub cheese spread on top, followed by a spoonful of beer-caramelized onions, and then 2 slices of crispy bacon.
  4. Finish and Serve: Place the top bun half on each assembled burger and serve immediately. Enjoy with additional toppings or sauces as desired.

Notes

  • For beer caramelized onions: Thinly slice onions and caramelize them slowly in a pan with butter or oil over low heat until golden and soft. Pour a splash of beer into the pan and cook until the liquid reduces and the onions are richly flavored.
  • For crispier bacon, cook in the oven at 400°F (204°C) for 15-20 minutes on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  • To ensure patties stay juicy, avoid overmixing the ground beef and do not press down on them while cooking.
  • To toast buns, brush lightly with butter and toast on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.
