Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded, sliced or diced)
- 1 ripe avocado (diced or sliced)
- ½ cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup sour-cream, mayo, or your favorite sauce
- 2 tablespoons cilantro (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
Wrap
- 4 large tortillas
- 1 teaspoon oil
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, cheese, diced avocado, sour-cream or mayo, chopped cilantro, and lime or lemon juice until well combined to create a creamy and flavorful filling.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous portion of the chicken and avocado filling evenly onto the center of the tortilla. Roll the tortilla tightly to enclose the filling, forming a wrap. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Cook the wraps: Heat about 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan or griddle over medium-high heat. Place all four wraps seam-side down in the pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the bottom is golden and crispy, then carefully flip each wrap and cook for another minute or until the outside becomes a golden brown crust. Remove from heat and serve the wraps warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a healthier alternative.
- Feel free to add vegetables like sliced bell peppers or tomatoes to the filling for extra freshness.
- If you want a spicier flavor, add some chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the filling.
- Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas to make the wraps healthier or suitable for gluten-sensitive diets.
- These wraps can be prepared ahead of time and grilled just before serving for convenience.
