Description

No-Bake Brownie Protein Bites are a quick and delicious snack packed with protein and chocolatey flavor. These bite-sized treats combine almond flour, chocolate whey protein, and cocoa powder with natural sweeteners and nut butter, offering a nutritious energy boost without the need for baking. Perfect for fitness enthusiasts and anyone craving a healthy, sweet snack that’s ready in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • ½ Cup Almond flour (or almond meal)
  • 2 Scoops Whey Protein (chocolate flavor)
  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Almond butter (or cashew or sunflower butter)
  • 2 Tbsp Honey (or maple syrup)
  • 2 Tbsp Water

Additional

  • ½ Cup Mini chocolate chips (Dark)

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine the almond flour, chocolate-flavored whey protein powder, and cocoa powder until evenly mixed.
  2. Add wet ingredients and form dough: Incorporate the almond butter, honey, and water into the dry mixture. Stir well until a sticky dough forms that holds together.
  3. Shape into balls: Use your hands to roll the dough into 1-inch sized balls, ensuring each is evenly shaped for consistent bite-size treats.
  4. Coat with chocolate chips: Roll each ball in the mini dark chocolate chips, pressing gently to ensure the chips adhere to the surface, adding extra texture and sweetness.
  5. Chill for firmness: Place the coated protein bites in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set and firm up before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, substitute whey protein with a plant-based protein powder and use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • You can swap almond butter for other nut or seed butters like cashew or sunflower seed butter depending on your preference or allergies.
  • Keep protein bites refrigerated in an airtight container for up to one week.
  • To make smaller or larger bites, adjust the rolling size accordingly, but baking time is not applicable since this is a no-bake recipe.
  • Add a pinch of salt to enhance the chocolate flavor if desired.
