Description

These Street Corn Cheeseburger Sliders offer a delicious twist on classic sliders by combining juicy cheeseburger patties with creamy jalapeno sauce and a flavorful street corn salad, all served on soft Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for parties or casual gatherings, these sliders bring a fun and messy flavor explosion that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 lbs. ground hamburger 80/20 (or 12 pre-formed slider meat patties)
  • 6 American cheese slices, cut into squares
  • 24 dill pickles (2 per slider)
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste

Sauces & Toppings

  • 1/2 cup prepared Chuy’s Cream Jalapeno Sauce
  • 2 cups prepared Street Corn Salad

Instructions

  1. Prep Sauces and Street Corn: Prepare the creamy jalapeno ranch sauce and the street corn salad according to their recipes or purchase pre-made versions.
  2. Form Patties: If using loose ground hamburger, shape the meat into 2 oz. balls using clean hands, then flatten into thin, circular patties suitable for sliders. If using pre-formed patties, skip this step.
  3. Season Patties: Generously season both sides of each patty with kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help prevent shrinkage during cooking.
  4. Cook Patties: Grill the patties over medium-high heat or cook in a skillet heated to medium-high for 2-3 minutes per side. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with two squares of American cheese to melt.
  5. Toast Buns: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally. Optionally, place the cut sides face-up and toast under a broiler for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Assemble Base: Spread mayonnaise on the bottom halves of the buns. Add two dill pickle slices per slider, then place the warm cheeseburger patties on top.
  7. Add Street Corn: Spoon about one heaping spoonful of street corn salad over each patty. This adds moisture and flavor but may make the sliders a little messy.
  8. Add Jalapeno Sauce and Serve: Spread a generous layer of creamy jalapeno sauce on the underside of each top bun half. Place the tops onto the sliders, slice apart if needed, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Using pre-formed patties saves time but homemade patties offer a fresher taste.
  • Adjust seasoning on the patties to your preference.
  • Use freshly toasted buns to add a crunchy texture contrast.
  • The street corn salad can be made ahead of time to simplify assembly.
  • Sliders are best served immediately for optimal warmth and flavor.
